Only 3 of these 11 skills are by the companies that own the entertainment properties. I say this every time we analyze the top movie and TV skills, but companies need to invest in voice skills for their shows and movies! People want to show off their trivia skills, they want to interact with recurring gags, they want to learn more about what goes on behind the scenes! Give the people what they want!
When we added the top UK skills, I was excited to discover new (to me, a naive Canadian) TV shows and movies. Was a Coronation Street trivia skill going to rule this category? Was there a Top Gear review and lap time finder? Unfortunately, there aren’t any top UK skills in this category that are region specific. I find this surprising since the BBC has a Voice & Conversational Interfaces that seems very well equipped to product quality content.

????????Burger of the Day by Bo Roth – 4 out of 5, 293 ratings, 18 reviews
Simple skill that gives a random Burger of the Day from Bob’s Burgers.
Random review: Great idea for a Skill! However, two main gripes:
1. The trigger phrase “Bob’s Chalkboard” is not intuitive, and can be difficult for Alexa to understand, particularly if you speak with an accent.
2. This gives no option to display (for Echo Show or other video-enabled Alexa devices) or recite the recipes, and only gives the name. This severely limits the functionality of the skill beyond a mere novelty.
Looking forward to seeing some robust updates for this skill! Lots of untapped potential, here. (2 out of 5)
